In a bland and nondescript newly open urban complex, like a university. Once the facilities are almost ready to function. It becomes evident the degree of fragmentation the developer did not detect in the master plan. So I was assigned to fill the gaps, and work on a human scale. Starting with the University main Gates on auto highway, which is a sign, a monument, a canopy, a lighting fixture and urban landscape basin, all in one.
A student's gathering urban space is the one the makings of a lively campus. Located in a square between three building, the concession is light structure with double skin of glass, steel mesh, chrome and wood. Surrounded by arched stone benches with wooden back support, Shaded by custom design P.T.F.E Umbrellas .
